There is this guy that likes me and I like but I don't want to go out with him. I don't know why I don't want to go out with him, I guess it's just I am afraid of getting hurt like my best friend did. She went out with him then they broke up. I like him for lots of reasons but one is because he is a real smooth sweet talker. So maybe it is just because he sweet talked me.Chix

So the guy you like is a "sweet smooth talker"... Hmmmm. That sounds like he may not be totally honest and maybe just says what he knows a girl wants to hear to get what he wants.
You know, I've often heard of girls who go out with their best friend's ex bf and that causes a lot of problems. Yeah, I know your best friend isn't going out with the guy any more but she is still likely to be uncomfortable seeing you with him (if you decide to do that). The relationship with the guy is not likely to last very long and when it ends, will you still have the closeness with your best friend??
One more thing, if you can, I'd suggest you talk with your best friend and find out what she thinks of you and this guy going out.
