Annie Fox for Teens... Hey, Terra!

Annie (AKA Hey Terra!) has been around long enough to have experienced a lot of what Life can dish out. But, it hasn’t been so long that she's forgotten what it's like to be your age. Check out some of the thousands of email questions teens from around the world have sent to Terra. You may learn something useful from her answers:

“I met him online and I'm so lonely without him!”

Hey Terra,

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know it was so serious. Anyways, none of my friends have boyfriends but I want one, I dunno why I just do. It's weird.

Not The Only One

Dear Not The Only One,

I'm glad you're not the only "single" girl in your group! Hey, I can understand how you feel about wanting to be loved and cuddled and cared about and all that. It's perfectly natural to want that. But there's so much that's right with who you are, that it's a huge mistake to think that your happiness depends on having a boyfriend.

When you allow yourself to feel "really desperate" about it, well, that can lead you to doing things without thinking... Things you might later regret.

Know what I mean?

In friendship,

Terra
