Annie Fox for Teens... Hey, Terra!

Annie (AKA Hey Terra!) has been around long enough to have experienced a lot of what Life can dish out. But, it hasn’t been so long that she's forgotten what it's like to be your age. Check out some of the thousands of email questions teens from around the world have sent to Terra. You may learn something useful from her answers:

“Me and my sister's best friend's boyfriend had sex.”
(Continued)

Hey Terra,

Me and him had sex because it just happened. It wasn't something that he said or that I said. I want to keep on having sex with him because he understands me and we've known each other for a lot of years. He and I are still good friends. I heard that he wanted to ask me out. Lots of people have been saying that and he also has changed a bit. He acts differently around me and looks at me weird. He also hugs me more. Do you think he might like me?

Confused

Dear Confused,

Sex doesn't "just happen." People choose to have sex. So don't try to fool yourself into thinking that this just happened and you had no control over it. You chose it. He chose it. And both of you chose it knowing that it would hurt his girlfriend.

As for whether I think he "might like you." No way I can tell. But I think it's pretty interesting that you would choose to have sex with a guy who has a girlfriend and still not even know whether he likes you. Maybe you should find out before you choose to have sex with him again.

Do you know how to find out if he likes you? Ask him and see how comfortable he is with the question. Then keep watching the way he treats you. Oh, and one other thing, if he continues to cheat on his girlfriend with you, then you can probably count on the fact that he will cheat on you with some other girl.

It gives you something to think about, doesn't it.

In friendship,

Terra
