Annie Fox for Teens... Hey, Terra!

Annie (AKA Hey Terra!) has been around long enough to have experienced a lot of what Life can dish out. But, it hasn’t been so long that she's forgotten what it's like to be your age. Check out some of the thousands of email questions teens from around the world have sent to Terra. You may learn something useful from her answers:

BF/GF Relationships:
“How can I get him back?”

Hey Terra,

I was in a relationship with a guy for 9 months. I just broke up with him because I wanted to know if he truly cares about me. I felt that the love between us was getting really dim. We were still in love but because of my sensitiveness, I was not worth his time anymore. He said sorry when I broke up with him. I was disappointed he did not try to win me back. I end up hurting even more. And now I really regret that I broke up with him. How can I get him back without sounding stupid. I feel afraid, because I was the one who broke up with him. I'm afraid that he totally lost his feeling for me. Please help me.

Still in Love

Dear Still in Love,

Hold on a minute! You said you broke up with him because the "love between you was getting really dim." What makes you think the love is any brighter now? And if your "sensitiveness" made you "not worth his time any more" what makes you think he'll be able to take it any better now?

Bottom line, it sounds like you're lonely, you don't have anyone else at the moment, so you're fantasizing about this past relationship. You're remembering it as better than it was.

I suggest you forget about it for now and get involved in new activities that will help you meet new people and make new friends. Don't look back.

In friendship,

Terra
